I’m heading to Monza!

Yes, my first full GP experience will be in just few days, I’m so excited! It will be a trepidating race in the Tifosi’s land, the Autodromo di Monza which is considered the ‘temple of speed’, where the F1s reach speeds over 370km/h.
And on that Sunday the world will probably know the future of Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, if his retirement will be at the end of the season or if he will stay, if Raikkonen really has a Ferrari or Mclaren contract, if Massa will change team or stay, if Alonso will have almost won the WDC crown…But also if the BMW Sauber Team will have had a good result in a circuit that suits the F1.06. Maybe another fantastic podium?
Anyway, I hope I will enjoy a four-day trip in the beautiful region of Lombardia, whose capital is Milan, with its Duomo and cosmopolitan style. In the center of the city the BMW Sauber Team will place its very entertaining Pit Lane Theme Park, which of course I will visit.
The Monza circuit is just about 30km from the city, placed in a forest that surrounds the area and a small city of the same name.
I’ll be seating in the first corner (Variante Prima corner, at Alta Velocita grandstands), where a big part of the action will take place, as that chicane offers the view of the cars literally jumping over the kerbs after reducing its speeds from over 300km/h to a mere 120, and the back accelerating at full throttle. What a spectacle! And a great place to take photos, so for sure I will bring back lots of them, which hopefully you will enjoy hehe. Not only photos from F1, but also from GP2 and Porsche Supercup, as well as the great atmosphere of the circuit.
And of course a full report of my experience will be published here after the GP, probably on Tuesday…
But I think I’m going too fast, I’m dreaming before I even get there. It’s probably because I cannot wait more till that moment arrives!
So sorry for the absence on those days, as I will not be able to do the reports, but I’m sure Sam and Mike will gladly substitute me on that period if on the other hand I bring some stuff of the Monza race.
Looking forward to a nice weekend,
Kind Regards, Jaime (the BMWSauberF1Talk Reporter).
