Fernando Alonso has expressed his interest in having Jarno Trulli on Renault during the 2005 season. Paddock speculation had talked about a possible contract of Ralf Schumacher with Renault.

On the Press conference prior to the Malaysian Grand Prix Alonso was asked what he knew about the rumour of Ralf joing Renault for 2005.

"I know nothing. I know nothing. I don't think so. I'm very happy to work with Jarno and I hope that next year we stay at Renault again." He said

Ralf Schumacher was also questioned about the rumours that placve him in a Renault or a Toyota for 2005.

"At the moment I am talking to BMW-Williams, that is the team where I am and where I would like to stay and we are still talking about it. That is all I can say." He added.

Alonso was also questioned if there was an argument with Trulli over the first turn hard brake at the Australian Grand Prix:

"We didn't speak, but everything was OK. We spent all week playing football in the Maldives and nothing, nothing obviously to speak about. You, the press, you take a little more. We say one thing and you write more things than we said." Alonso concluded.
