Renault covers some ground at Jerez!

The Renault F1 team continues to test heavily at the Spanish track of Jerez. Both Jarno Trulli and Franck Montagny completed 211 laps to the track (933 kms). Montagny finished the day with the third best time.
The session was once again dominated by BAR drivers. Jenson Button finished on top for the second consecutive day with a best time of 1.16.977 after 108 laps while his teammate Takuma Sato finished slightly behind with a best of 1.17.273 after only 59 laps.
Franck Montagny was left loose today to set a quick time and he was right behind the Japanese driver with a best effort of 1.17.297 after 109 laps driving the Renault R23.
His teammate, Jarno Trulli, driving the new R24 was to concentrate today on a race simulation and he completed 102 laps for a best time of 1.17.408 that left him 45th on the timesheets just behind the Williams BMW of Ralf Schumacher.
All teams were present today except Minardi with Jordan Ford finishing last again for the second day in a row.
The McLaren of Kimi Raikonen and David Coulthard finished 7th and 9th today after a combined 191 laps. The Ferrari F2003-GA of Luca Badoer finished 10th.
