Renault launches Dolphin car!

Today at the Spanish track of Barcelona, the Renault F1 Team has unveiled their new car for the 2004 season. The car will be officialy presented on January 29th at Palermo in Sicily. The Italian set the 6th fastest time of the day.

The R24 that also carries the new 72º angle engine RS24 exited the pits for the first time today at the hands of driver Jarno Trulli to start testing this morning at the Spanish track.

As expected the front of the car remains a traditional one. However, the surprises are at the rear with an innovative engine cover that includes a number of aero flicks-ups to help downforce on the side.

The car also had an unusual rear wing and very curved and small sidepods making the car look extremely streamlined.
