Renault concentrates on tyres

The Renault F1 team continued with their test at Jerez today where both Jarno Trulli and Franck Montagny tested tyres during the whole day. Renault is testing in Jerez together with another five teams.
Both days have been dominated by the new Williams FW26 of Juan Pablo Montoya that set a time of 1.16.705.
Montagny was the faster of both drivers by setting a time of 1.17.884 (3rd best) after 82 laps (363 kms). Montagny's work was focused on tyre constructions during the day.
On the other hand, Jarno Trulli was again the busiest man of the track by running 132 laps (584 kms) and setting a fastest time of 1.17.900.
His job was to focus on tyre compounds and both drivers concentrated on short runs. The test had showed promising result acording to Renault F1.
The team will continue to test tomorrow Friday at the track in the south of Spain.
