Alonso shows great speed!

The Renault F1 team showed great speed today after finishing 4th and 6th on the first qualifying of the British GP. Spaniard Fernando Alonso was 4th behind Michale Schumacher and the two Williams of Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Alonso was quite happy of his result and the balance of his R23B:

"Everything went well all day. We had no problems with the car during the various sessions, and we found a good balance for my timed lap. The new
aero package is better everywhere, with more grip all the way round the lap. I hope we will be able to fight with the top teams again this weekend." He said.

His teammate, Jarno Trulli, was also sattisfied with the result:

"I'm happy with the result. I have had a good day, in spite of a few problems finding the right set-up this morning. We got on top of the situation, though, and I didn't make any mistakes on my qualifying lap. Our package is working
well here, and we are competitive." Said the Italian.

Michael Schumacher headed the sheets with a time of 1.19.474, followed by Montoya and Ralf Schumacher.
