Schumacher blames Trulli for third!

Formula 1 reigning champion Michael Schumacher has blamed Trulli for finihing 3rd yesterday at the Monaco GP. Monaco is a track known for the difficulty in overtaking drivers and Schumacher was 5th at the grid and could not overtake Trulli for fourth at the start.

Michael Schumacher was then forced to stay behind Trulli for 26 laps until the Italian Renault driver went into the pits.

From there on, Schumacher, that was always within a second of Trulli, started to lap faster setting his fastest lap on the 30th lap, one before his own pit stop.

Schumacher was clear to pinpoint the reason that it was those 26 laps behind Trulli that made him loose to a better position.

"The fact is that if I wouldn't have been stuck behind Trulli, I guess I could have kept the situation more close to Kimi,..." Michael said in yesterday's press conference.

Michael also agreed that there were periods of time where he could not keep the pace, probably due to the tyres:

"I guess it was something within the tyres (the lack of pace) because in certain periods I simply couldn't achieve the lap times anywhere." He said.
