Gascoyne is the target for Toyota!

Reports are suggesting that the Toyota F1 team could have made an offer for Mike Gascoyne to left the team and join them. The reports, that have been denied by Toyota boss Ove Andersson, say that Gascoyne could have received an offer to jump ship from the Anglo-French team to the Japanese team.

Mike Gascoyne is one of the key members responsible of the improvement of the Renault F1 team that currently is 3rd in the Constructor Championship.

Flavio Briatore, Renault F1 boss, has told Autosport Magazine that the British engineer has a contract with the them until the end of the year 2005.

"He has a contract until 2005 and we have time to negotiate. Everybody is important in the team and Mike is the technical director – so he is important like everybody else."
