Improved engine expected at A1ring!

Renault F1 is conducting 2 days of testing at the Paul Ricard circuit in the South of France. Jarno Trulli and Allan McNish are testing May 7th and 8th.

Yesterday it was Trulli's turn behind the wheel of the R23 as he run 113 laps of the French circuit. His main task was to test the new spec engine to be used on 10 days at the Austrian GP.

Mike Gascoyne, Renault Technical Director:

“Today we completed a full test programme, as always
with our “limited testing schedule”. We tested again the new spec
engine to be introduced at the Austrian Grand Prix without incurring
in any problems. This morning Jarno concentrated on tyre
development for Michelin for the Austria and Monaco Grand Prix.
This afternoon, he continued suspension development and electronic
system testing. Tomorrow, alongside Jarno, we will run Allan McNish
who will be working in the R202 on some suspension development”.

The Renault team is eager to find more power in their engine for the Austrian GP. A circuit that needs extra horse power to be at the front.
