Alonso does not think on the Pole and the Podium!

Renault F1 driver Fernando Alonso has declared today on an interview with Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” that the pole and the podium at the last Malaysian GP is forgotten and now his mind is totally on this weekend’s Brazilian GP.

He argues: “This result does not take off pressure from me nor it adds any. I am the only one who puts pressure on myself. This is a year in which I have to learn a lot, in which I have been selected to be in a big team as Renault and to start to fight for bigger aims”.

The Brazilian GP is hours away and the Spanish driver talks about the goals: “We have the same objectives for Brazil, to try to do the best possible work but without setting a particular position as the goal. We know each race is a different story and we’ll see what happens. Our morale is quite high after Malaysia. I think we were the only team to finish in the points with the two cars in both races. This means we have great reliability”, Alonso said. “We have to be competitive again in Brazil”.

Alonso was given the order after the Malaysian GP of resting and not talking to the press as he had suffered fever during the qualification and the race at Malaysia. Something he has done in England and in his hometown of Oviedo in the north of Spain.
