Renault F1 Rockets: Season so far. A Fans prospective... Well two races in one wet one hot and I am enjoying my F1 more than ever.

Renault Rockets - Unofficial Renault F1-News

I used to look forward more to the qualifying than
the race the last few seasons how wrong is that.

I have heard people moan about the new re-fuel
rules and how boring the qualifying is but I have
yet to hear anyone moan about the race (Except
maybe Ferrari fans ;-))

So what if qualifying is boring. Qualifying
was traditionally always boring its just seemed
more exiting in the last few years as the race
has got boring.

F1 has always been like a game of chess and it
takes the whole weekend to pan out. They have
extended the chess game to the Friday great,
and now added that little extra thing......the
fuel rule.

Look at the posts on all the message boards after
qualifying:

"Renault are running on fumes"
"DC is filled to the brim and is 1 stopping"

I couldn't wait to find out and sprung out of bed!

I have read than Berni doesn't think the new
qualifying is good, man is he never happy.
He has been getting the best races of his life and
F1 is in the news more than it has ever
been....why...because the new rules are doing what
they are meant to do. mixing it up a bit.

The cream always rises to the top, the faster
cars/better drivers will eventually get out in
front. Just takes them that wee bit longer and
makes it more interesting for the spectator.
If it wasn't for Schumacher's little problems he
of course would have been in the top 3 if not

winning it he is after all the best driver F1 has
seen in a long long time....if not the best driver ever.

The racing up and down the field was brilliant.

Panis coming flying out of the pits and
over-taking Firman on turn 1 on a full tank and
cold tyres a feat that his team mate was trying to
do all race.

Rubens all over the back of Panis, Rubens was
flying and Panis was no slouch...brill!

I could go on but I have work to do ;-)

I think Brazil will be a good test. If the race is
as good as the last two then people should stop
moaning and start enjoying!

Glad I won't have to get up in the middle of the
night for a while now....:-)
