The Renault F1 Team Roadshow gears up for 2010

The Renault F1 Roadshow is the sport’s original and best, wowing crowds around the world since 2004. The idea behind the programme is a simple one: making Formula 1 accessible to the public. Fans can get close to the cars, meet the drivers and the team in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It has also been the first opportunity for many F1 fans around the world to witness the awesome sight and sound of an F1 car up close.

In recent years, the Renault F1 Team has lit up the streets of world capitals such as Warsaw, Moscow, Rome and Mexico City as well as other prominent global cities like Johannesburg and Sochi. The Roadshow has also formed an important part of the successful World Series by Renault championship with the car running at selected championship events throughout the season.

This weekend marks the first round of the 2010 World Series by Renault, at the new Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain, and the Renault F1 Roadshow will be present to entertain the crowds on Saturday and Sunday. The team will be using last year’s race car, the R29, which will be driven by the team’s reserve driver Jérôme D’Ambrosio.

Renault F1 Team Principal, Eric Boullier commented: “The Renault F1 Roadshow has been a key part of the team’s approach to Formula 1 and that will continue in 2010. By attending events like the World Series, we can take the sport closer to the fans and allow them to do things that simply wouldn’t be possible during a Grand Prix weekend. We have some exciting plans for the rest of the year, which will continue to build on the strong reputation that our Roadshow has already established.”
