Gilles Villeneuve Movie in the Works

2006 will see the start of production on a movie titled "Villeneuve". It will chronicle the life and career of Gilles Villeneuve, which ended tragically during qualifying at Zolder in 1982.

Gabriella Martinelli who was born in Italy, but raised in Canada will produce the film which will be directed by Christian Duguay. The script will be written by Malcomb Clarke and will also cover Gilles' son Jacques who won the Formula One World Championship in 1997 and now drives for team SAUBER PETRONAS.

The cast has not yet been announced and neither has a release date.
