Barrichello Wins Granja Viana 500 as Massa DNF's

Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello finally realized his dream of standing atop the podium in his home race last weekend. It was not the Brazilian Grand Prix, however, but the 8th annual Granja Viana 500 endurance karting race.

The post-season race attracts top stars from Formula One, Champ Car and the Indy Racing League. Barrichello's teammates this year were IRL Stars Dan Wheldon, Felipe Giaffone and Tony Kanaan who recently wrapped up his first IRL championship for Andretti-Green Racing. They outraced 73 other teams to take the win.

For SAUBER's Felipe Massa, the race did not have such a happy ending. His teammate Luciano Burti crashed their kart after the steering column failed and put an end to Massa's attempt to win his third 500.
