Sauber and Frentzen top unreliability table

Sauber Petronas has the ignominious distinction of topping the unreliability table for drivers and teams for this seasons F1 World Championship.

Of the 8 Grand Prix run so far this season, the Swiss outfit has complete a mere 648 laps out of a possible 1024, this works out at 63.28%.

The Petronas (Ferrari) powered cars have been given a good run in the unreliability stakes by Minardi which has completed just one lap more.

The most reliable cars are the WilliamsF1s which have completed 952 laps which compares with Ferrari (934), Renault (883) and McLaren (834).

Former Williams team-mates Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jacques Villeneuve have been having a torrid time with the German completing a mere 272 laps out of a possible 512, and Jacques Villeneuve on 288.

At 510 Ralf Schumacher has completed the most laps thus far in 2003, ahead of Alonso (487) and Michael Schumacher (483).
