Team Sauber Petronas started its three-day test at the Silverstone Circuit yesterday. Nick Heidfeld conducted the first test day and covered 76 laps in chassis 05 to set a best time of 1:21.569.

Nick continued today, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen will take over on Thursday.

Remi Decorzent (Race Engineer) said "The test this week is aimed at preparing the Sauber Petronas C22 for the European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring next week, and the British Grand Prix in Silverstone in July.

"Today we have tried some revised aerodynamic components in readiness for the forthcoming races, and evaluated tyres on behalf of Bridgestone. Thanks to good weather conditions we were able to complete our programme as scheduled. The agenda for tomorrow basically
reflects the test procedure of today.

"On Thursday we will do some set-up work with Heinz-Harald Frentzen in addition to the verification of data which we will collect during the first two test days."

Sauber Speak will be attending the test on Wednesday and Thursday.
