AS Airdrie travelled to Lochend school to take on last years league cup winners, Who included former Airdrie United player Thomas Hoey in there ranks, in what was the only fixture on the card.

The Diamonds were looking to leapfrog leaders Windlaw ahead of there clash next week at the Barlia however found stuborn resistance in Easterhouse.Goals from Gray and Capaldi were cancelled out by Lochend who had a man dismissed after 20 minutes. At 2-1 Gray had the ball in the net only to be harshly called offside and in the dying moments Atkin clean through on goal from an onside position from a goal kick was hauled back for offside only to see the decision given as a retake of the goal kick.

One point picked up at the end of the day edged Airdrie to within 2 points of the leaders at the top of table and with Edgar and Stewart returning for next week in what looks like a mouthwatering clash at Castlemilk it's all to play for.
