Vs Thistle (Preview 12/8/06)

I may be blowing this all out of proportion, but when fans speak of rivalries for Airdrie they don't come much bigger than Partick Thistle and tomorrows game comes with a venom of it's own.
A few season's ago it was Martin Hardie playing in the Diamond that got on the Thistles fans nerves, some meaty challenges in mid-field only heightened the tensions. This season we have the arrival of Mark Smyth to add just a little bit of bite to the match, as if it needed any! In today's interview on L107, Sandy Stewart said he was disappointed with last weeks performance. In the first fifteen - twenty minutes the game was pretty even but when Ross County scored it put Ross County in charge. The second goal at the beginning of the second half left us looking dis-jointed. For tomorrows game, Neil McGowan returns to the squad after training this week, but Stephen McKeown will be given a late fitness test. | |||||||||||||||||

I can't stand the thought of us loosing to Thistle so although I know it will be a tough match i am taking a Do you agree are disagree with this prediction? |
