Moto GB - UK Youth Supermoto update

85cc Youth Supermoto racing looks to be increasing in popularity after a cautious start in 2005, as entries continue to arrive at the head office of Southern Supermoto, the Moto GB affiliated club responsible for organising and promoting the 12-round UK Youth Supermoto Championship in 2006.

The series will visit several exciting and diverse venues, including amongst others; the fast European Supermoto style Lydden Hill Circuit near Canterbury, and the technically challenging Llandow Circuit in South Wales.

David Venditti at Southern Supermoto commented, “We’re seeing a very healthy pre-season commitment for all classes, and some of our adult classes are almost full already. We have worked hard to ensure that the youth element of Supermoto moves forward, and this appears to be paying off as the entries are way up on this point last year.”

To participate in the UK Youth Supermoto Championship, competitors will need to join the Southern Supermoto club and then apply for a Moto GB competition licence. 2006 membership forms, championship conditions, and licence application forms are all available online from both Southern Supermoto’s own website · southernsupermoto.co.uk; and the Moto GB website · motogb.net.
