Jeremy McWilliams will not race at Oulton Park

It was announced today that Jeremy McWilliams will not be on the start line this coming Bank Holiday weekend, at the next round of the British Superbike series, taking place at Oulton Park.

With rumours abounding at the Mallory Park meeting last weekend, that a rider was going to be dropped, this has not been the case.

Jeremy suffered a crash at Thurxton, and is suffering from damage to his shoulder, and it has been decided that he is to rest the injury and then return for his home round at Mondello Park in Southern Ireland in two weeks’ time.

Team boss Paul Bird said, “It is the sensible thing to do. We have taken this decision to give him time to recuperate, and hopefully bounce back to get into the form we know he is capable of, when he returns to his home round at Mondello Park - providing he is fit enough.”

Jeremy said, “Paul and I are in agreement over this, and I need some time to recuperate. The injury was preventing me controlling my machine at Mallory Park, and that’s not the ideal situation for me or the other riders, and I retired from both races.”
