British Superbike Champion John Reynolds will be out on the big Rizla Suzuki when he takes part in a track test session at Mallory Park this Wednesday - tomorrow.

After breaking his leg in two places at a test session last month, Reynolds is under strict instructions by his doctor, and providing his solid race boot - specially designed to keep the leg and foot in a single position, and to act as a cast for his broken bones - will afford him the support he requires.

Providing the test goes well, and he is fit enough to ride, he will be taking part in the opening British Superbike race this Easter weekend, at Brands Hatch. The ultimate decision will be undertaken by his doctor whether John can indeed ride the bike.

It is not unknown for John to ride whilst injured, after he raced at Rockingham in 2003, and at the last BSB outing at Brands Hatch last year. As earlier reported, John is looking fit and raring to go, so hopefully he will be given the go ahead.

If John is unable to ride, his place will be given to Gregorio Lavilla - who is
already familiar with the big Suzuki. Lavilla rode in place of the injured Yukio Kagayama at Thruxton last year, and raced the GSX-R1000 throughout the 2003 World Superbike series.

It is crucial for John to take part at Brands Hatch, as the competition in this series has never been greater in its entire history - so points will be a vital thing from any position he can get.
