The series “Natural Born Racers” makes a welcome return to Channel 5 this evening, the 28th November at 23:55. Although it’s a late night programme, it is nevertheless one to watch, or set your video to record and watch at your leisure.

There will be thirteen programs over the next few weeks, which will follow the competitors in this highly motivated series as youngsters show their skills - with a top British Superbike ride in the offing for the winner.

This is a unique series with all competitors on the same machinery, and has produced some top class riders who have gone on to bigger and better things - with Tommy Hill, the 2003 R6 Cup winner, being re-signed for the Virgin Mobile team for 2005, and newcomer Richard Wren, winner of this year’s series,joining Tommy in the British Superbike series aboard the Virgin Mobile Samsung R1 Superbike.

Riders are 16 to 22 years of age, and fund themselves to £20,000 to compete in the R6 cup in the hope of winning the series, and joining the premier class in the BSB line up. With a complete behind the scenes look at the rivalry between the youngsters - from their lifestyles to what makes a champion - is covered in this very fast-paced and close quarter racing series.

Spectacular racing and breathtaking overtaking manoeuvres have made this one of the top classes in the British Superbike calendar, with the youngsters’ skills of handling fast bikes at close quarters all fighting for the ultimate prize to ride alongside their heroes.

The R6 Cup has been very successful and has produced some of the best racing to be found, with emotions running high and close finishing, without the usual predictable winner being known prior to the race start.

There will also be the opportunity for the viewer to win a Yamaha paddock scooter and, in the final show, a chance to win a Virgin Mobile R1 Superbike. More details can be found at www.virginmobileracing.com.
