The British Hawk Kawasaki team have announced that they will be operating their 2005 Superbike campaign as a satellite team, with Kawasaki factory backing.
This means they will get more help from the Kawasaki manufacturer, including all the latest parts directly from the factory - which will help testing and development from their riders Dean Thomas and Glen Richards.
Their recent testing at Valencia was a direct invitation from the Japanese manufacturer, so that new parts and so forth could be evaluated in readiness for the 2005 season.
This obviously means they will not undergo the trials and tribulations that they experienced this year, prior to and during the start of the racing, when they had literally unboxed their standard machines still with the key ignition for starting the bike, and then developed them as they raced throughout the season.
After a successful but trying 2004 season, they will now be ready to challenge for the British Superbike crown from the off, and I feel sure they will be running at the front from day one.
