Jeremy McWilliams targeted by Kenny Roberts

Northern Ireland’s Jeremy McWilliams remains in demand as a Grand Prix rider, and has more than one offer for the 2005 MotoGP season.

The now 40-year-old Irish rider is in high demand, and has been offered the chance to ride for the Roberts KTM team for the 2005 MotoGP series. He has also been made an offer by the Aprilia team for whom he rode this year, and will be testing both machines in Spain next week.

KTM, who are entering the championships for the first time with the Kenny Roberts team, may well prove the choice move for Jeremy, who has previously worked with Kenny as a member of the Proton KR Team.

But, to throw in a bit more confusion, Jeremy has also been offered a British Superbike ride by none other than Paul Bird, aboard the MonsterMob Honda FireBlade alongside Michael Laverty for 2005.

Although Jeremy has said he would be keen to stay with the Italian Aprilia team for the MotoGP series, Paul Bird stated he had made Jeremy ‘an offer that he couldn’t refuse’.
