It has now been confirmed that Garry McCoy and Steve Martin have signed for the Foggy Petronas World Superbike team, following the departure of Chris Walker and Troy Corser (pictured left).
Garry and Steve did indeed contest the WSBK this year, with Garry finishing one place higher than Steve, in sixth position. They will be testing the Petronas FP1 in Valencia next week, over a three day period.

It was Garry McCoy’s first season in the WSBK series this year, winning his home round at Phillip Island, and he is well known for sliding his rear wheel into corners - coming to circuit racing from Speedway.
Carl stated he was glad to replace the two outgoing riders, and was impressed with the standard of riders who wanted to join the FP1 team - which provided us with some headaches.

He went on to say that Garry was an exciting rider with a proven pedigree, who has won Grands Prix on a high revving two-stroke. “Garry’s radical style will suit our machine, as it is more like a two-stroke than a Ducati, which he rode this year.
“Steve is a very under-rated rider and wants to get noticed, and now it is up to him to make people sit up and take notice. He has good set-up abilities, and now has the chance to make people notice how good he really is.”
