Whilst attending the NEC motorcycle show, John McGuinness announced his withdrawal from the Vivaldi British Superbike Team. John had been attending the show for a line-up alongside fellow team member Ben Wilson.

John had taken up the place vacated by injured rider Glen Richards for the Hawk Kawasaki team during the latter part of the BSB this year, and was certainly a front runner and well liked by the spectators. He is also the outright lap record holder at the Isle of Man TT.

Despite having recently signed for the team, John announced at the show that he could not take up his position in the Vivaldi Team. Unconfirmed reports state that he was unhappy at not being able to take part in the Isle Of Man TT races, along with other road races throughout next year which he regularly participates in.

John is currently in talks with a number of teams that have offered him a ride for next year, and he will be making an announcement soon - more than likely before the end of the NEC exhibition.
