Celebrating a spectacular summer of women’s sport

Northamptonshire’s motorcycle racer and female TT lap record holder, Maria Costello, will be joining the host Vera Baird MP and other special guests, including Pippa Funnell and Georgina Harland, at the House of Commons reception on the third of November.

It is an opportunity to celebrate a brilliant summer across women’s sport in the UK, and to launch a new physical activity and health initiative, SPA.

In addition to a myriad of Olympians and stars from across sport, we will also be joined by BBC decision makers and presenters, such as Eleanor Oldroyd and Alison Curbishley, who helped to bring sportswomen to the forefront of media coverage over the summer months.

The event will take place in the Jubilee Room from 3:00pm until 5:00pm, and the motorcycle Maria Costello secured the TT record on, a Padgett’s Suzuki GSX-R750, will also be there on show.
