Knockhill preview - D&B Ducati Racing

Fresh from his outstanding ride at Oulton Park, Dean Ellison and the D&B Ducati team are heading for the Highlands this weekend. The Knockhill circuit is renowned for its unpredictable Scottish weather - glorious sunshine one minute and torrential downpour the next.

Still in high spirits, Dean and the team have their eye on that elusive podium for this weekend, to boost his championship standing. Inspired by his third position, until disaster struck on the last lap, the team is aiming for another good result. They have got the taste of running with the top boys and want more of the same.

Dean, commenting on Thursday afternoon, had this to say: “Obviously, I’m looking forward to Knockhill after the way things went at Oulton Park. We have new brakes for this weekend, which was a big problem for us here last year. With the way the team engine builder, Nik Goodison, is building the engines, we will be really strong at such a short-circuit.

“I have always enjoyed racing at Knockhill, and the weather always adds an element of excitement to the whole weekend. It is a very difficult circuit at which to pass, and a favorite corner for nipping by is at the hairpin. This is where the new brakes from SBS should help. The team also got a chance to develop a new setting for the wet at Oulton Park, so whatever the weather brings we should have a good race set up.”

Dean went on to say, “Keep an eye out for me in my new Nava race helmet, the only helmet to incorporate titanium in its construction, it looks and feels awesome.”

If you can’t make it to Scotland this weekend Sky Sports 2 will be screening the meeting from 16:00 - 19:30 on Sunday 18th May.
