Toyota has been a busy bee with B spec car

Unlike last year, it was clear from the launch of the TF106 that Toyota would be bringing out an update around the Monaco Grand Prix, and they stayed true to their word. Pascal Vasselon is positive over the new cars potential.

Pascal said after its first major test at Paul Ricard, “This new specification is more a development of the structure of the car, than a new aerodynamic package, with front mechanical grip improvement being one of the major goals.” Toyota has struggled for grip, mainly from the tyres during the first few races of the 2006 season and its hoped that the TF106B will adapt to its new Bridgestone tyres better than its predecessor.

Also keeping to their words, Pascal said that there should be more improvements coming as the season progresses. “This is a continuous development on the car and we are always pushing to improve on performance and our package."
