Jarno to extend his contract with Toyota?

With much speculation surrounding Jarno Trulli’s position at the Panasonic Toyota Racing team for next season the Italian has come out confirming he is in fact in talks with his current employ about extending his current contract beyond next season.

Its been no secret that Jarno’s current 2006 record has been shocking with the Italian having his most disappointing start for some years. But, out paced by teammate Ralf Schumacher in all the races so far this season, our members here at the totallytoyotaf1.com message board voiced that this could be Jarno’s last season with the Toyota team. But, after rumours on possible replacements circulated, the Italian has come out confirming he is in talks with Toyota about next season.

“I am already in talks with Toyota. At the moment we are looking at the job here, and I hope very soon I can say what we are doing next year." Said a confident Jarno Trulli. The Italian also pointed out he had ‘other options’ from other teams, although he wouldn’t comment on which teams in detail. If this news is true, Ralf Schumacher who is rumoured to have an extension on his contract already, Jarno and Ralf look set to continue as Panasonic Toyota Racing drivers for at lest another season.
