Jerez Day 6
By Nick Sparkes
December 13 2005
As the norm a V10 powered car headed the time sheets on the sixth day of testing at Jerez, Felipe Massa completing 90 laps in his 2005 spec Ferrari. Behind was Toyota’s Ricardo Zonta using the TF106 and the newer spec V8 engine, and to complete the top three was DTM Champion Gary Paffett for McLaren
On a day littered with red flags, with one of those for Ricardo Zonta who suffered a mechanical problem, Ferrari, Toyota, McLaren and BMW Sauber were the only teams present for today’s test.
New boy Franck Perera was also present at today’s test for Toyota, the Frenchman covering 60 laps and finishing a second slower than his more experienced team mate Ricardo Zonta.
Testing continues tomorrow.
