Jerez Day 4

Pedro de la Rosa was second with a limited V10 Mercedes engine. The TF106's of Ricardo Zonta and Jarno Trulli were third and fourth respectively.

The session was stopped once when Marc Gene pulled to the side in his Ferrari 2004 car, fitted with a V8 engine. He finished with a lap time just behind Alex Wurz, both completed 111 laps.

Midland reserved the bottom four times of the day, with almost 6 seconds separating Villeneuve and trailing Fabrizio Del Monte. 2006 driver Christijan Albers was 9th surrounded by some drivers you have probably never heard of. MF1 only managed to accumulate 140 laps of the circuit despite having 4 men on track.

The four Bridgestone teams will be testing around an artificially soaked track tomorrow. Toyota, Williams, MF1 and Ferrari will have an opportunity to testing Bridgestone's wet weather tyres.
