2006 Season Calendar at a glance

For the first time in 10 years, Australia will not host the opening round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Instead the teams will fly to the scorching deserts of Bahrain on March 12th.
Changes in the 2006 calendar sees the British GP lose its traditional July slot. A repeat of a move a few years ago which saw spectators stuck in the mud in the appalling British weather. Silverstone features on the 2006 calendar in the first half of June.
Brazil will end the 19-race season, although this is still subject to contract approval.
