Jarno believes Toyota can be front runners in 2007

In an interiew with Italian Publication ''Gazzetta dello Sport'', Toyota driver Jarno Trulli has said that he belives that Toyota can be front runners next season.

Jarno has renewed his contract for 3 more seasons with Toyota underlining the faith he has in Toyota to succeed at motorsports top level. Jarno gave Toyota their first Formula podium in Malaysia last year and got two more in Bahrain and Spain. Going into the season hopes for Toyota were high and many believed after such as strong 2005, Toyota could take their maiden victory in 2006. But Toyota have struggled this season and may doubted their race winning potential after the quite frankly embarrasing 14th and 16th place finishes for Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli respectively in th season opener in Bahrain. Toyotas best result this year was at the Australian Grand Prix where Ralf Schumacher took 3rd place, Toyota's best finish of the season to date.

But Jarno remains optimistic for the 2007 season and beyond:

"I'm delighted to have signed for three more years with my current team," He continued "This year we haven't had the means to win Grands Prix but it's just a matter of experience: Toyota's potential is enormous. From 2007 we can be main players at all times and the final objective in my career is to win the championship. I know I can do it."

As for the rest of the 2006 season, Jarno has said that he is aiming to get a podium at his home Grand Prix at Monza in Italy next weekend.

"In qualifying I aim to be in the top ten, even though it'll be hard. In the race I'd like to get a podium, either there or at least by the end of the season,"
