Lewis Hamilton has stated to the press that he is a little disappointed with his qualifying performance despite getting 2nd position in qualifying.
"My last lap wasn't that great to be honest - it was tough and qualifying is intense and you need to pull out absolutely everything on that last lap," Hamilton said after qualifying. "I think I lost a bit in the first turn and a little bit more in turn 13 where there was a bit of wind, but still to get a second I'm very happy for the team and looking forward to the race tomorrow."
"Coming here we've had two extremely good races and we're extremely competitive where it's very close at the front. To go into my third race in F1 and be on the front row is an amazing thing," he concluded.
Although Mercedes motorsport director Norbert Haug says that Lewis did a fantastic job
"Without giving too much away, he has a substantial amount of fuel on board. I can tell you that his strategy is not for show - we may even drive (the first stint) longer than Ferrari."
