2006 Preparations continued at the Spanish circuit of Jerez last week. Christian Klien was at work on Wednesday & Thursday morning, with DC taking over the sole RB1 for the afternoon & Friday. Several other teams were also present at the test session, but due to the combinations of V8's / V10's, 2005 chassis, interim chassis, and 2006 chassis it was impossible to read anything into lap times.
Red Bull was using a RB1 chassis with a V10 engine, but were testing components for the 2006 car and tyre development. Christian Klien was testing the new RB2 braking system and his running was cut short due to some teething problems with it.
Christian is very positive about the new car - "I have already seen the new chassis in Milton Keynes and I am really excited to see it all come together and test the combination of the V8 engine and new chassis: looking forward to the RB2"
