Redbull Racing's 900BHP to increase to 930BHP

It was thought that the Cosworth engine would disappear from Formula 1 after Ford withdrew from the competition. This rumor has been ruled out with the news that the Northamptonshire based company is going to increase the engines to make them more competitive.

The news is certain to excite fans of Redbull Racing and Minardi, as both teams are scheduled to use the Cosworth engines in the forthcoming season. With the talks of Redbull possibly switching to a BMW engine after the first season, if Cosworth can prove there engines to be fast, reliable and competitive they may find themselves with a longer contract with Redbull Racing. This is all adding to the tension of the first race in Melbourne, and we'll be keen to see more lap times from test's prior to the start of the season.
