Jaguar Formula One - Albert Park Race Summary
By Steve
March 12 2003
The Jaguar Drivers started on dry tyres in todays Formula One race. They struggled for pace in the early stages, prior to the development of a dry line.
When the track did dry the Jaguar of Mark Webber made his way up to 4th place. Antonio Pizzonia was struggling with his car on a track that he has very little experience on.
Da Matta brought the pace car out, bunching the field up and severely reducing any advantage made by the guys who started on dry tyres.
When the race was restarted Webber lost two positions, in two corners, before realising that he was supposed to be racing. He Put his head down and was closing on Michael Schumacher in 5th position, before a rear suspension failure ended his race.
Antonio spun off the track on lap 28, but managed to continue on. He made two pit-stops before retiring in the later stages of the race.
