Really this could be the "spec" for almost any car on the grid if you discount the brand names of suppliers like Elf and OZ. Nice headline but no news.
Then I thought, maybe we will not get the upgraded Renault donk given it says 2006... I really hope they have not dusted off all their 3 year old engines for us.

A little History: Through the Elf brand, Total in Formula One has won 154 races and 19 world titles since 1968. Total at races: Total provides the ING Renault F1 Team with a full analysis of fuel and oil samples at every race, using cutting edge technology. Total engineers conduct more than 70 tests per weekend on the race products used in the cars, to ensure that the drivers will be able to get peak performance at all times.
* Fuels Formula One fuel is one of the most tightly controlled fuels within the world of motor sport with the chemical and physical parameters dictated by the FIA. These regulations imposed by the FIA are designed to foster the development of road car fuels; specific power boosting chemical compounds are banned and all chemical components are highly monitored. Total engineers regularly analyse the fuel, taking extreme care to ensure that it remains legal and in prime condition during the race weekend. If a sample taken by the FIA did not match the pre-approved fuel profile, the team could ultimately be disqualified.
* Lubricants Unlike fuels, engine lubricants are slightly less restricted. This gives Total chemists and engineers more freedom to explore new and unique formulations with two objectives: reliability and to get the most out of the Formula One engine. Instantaneous information provided by analysing the engine lubricant is essential for the ING Renault F1 team to understand the condition of the engine.
Formulating the best possible F1 fuel or the most efficient lubricant, necessitates having one of the best research centres in the field, it is based in France near Lyon at Solaize."
