Red Bull Racing put on a F1 demonstration in the streets of Cartegena, Columbia with Red Bull Junior Team driver Filipe Albuquerque at the wheel of a RB1. The show was the first time in over 20 years that an F1 car has run in Colombia.
Filipe Albuquerque made his F1 debut in the V10 engined RB1, having flown in to Colombia following a fourth place in another debut - in the World Series by Renault at Monza. Speaking to Autosport the 22 year old Portugese said "It all happened very quickly after my race in Monza, I was very happy when I learned I was coming here to driver the car. It's going to be my first time, but it will be spectacular. The location is quite nice."
Filipe Miguel Albuquerque has been a member of the Red Bull Junior Team for two years now and won two titles last year – in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC and the Eurocup.
The only Portuguese in the Red Bull Junior Team is now one step closer to his big goal, the Formula 1.
