Monza Test 14:06:2006 Day Two

The WilliamsF1 team would complete their second day of testing at the Monza circuit, with Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz continuing the driving duties.

On a hot day Nico would finish the day with the second fastest time, 1m:23.429, as he worked through the teams test programme. Nico would test new front suspension geometries as well as tyre testing. Alex would also test tyres as well as further test of the engine exhausts. Alex would finish in eighth with a best time of 1m:24.402.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented on the days test by saying: “Today we continued our test in Monza with Nico and Alex. We tested several different geometries on the front suspension to start with and later on we undertook some tests of different front tyre constructions on Nico's car. In the afternoon we made several setup comparisons on Nico’s car, while Alex started on rear tyre construction analysis in the morning and completed work on rear wing comparisons in the afternoon, together with some tests of modified exhausts.”
