The third day of testing at the Vallelunga circuit would see
Mark Webber back in action joined by team-mate Narain Karthikeyan. Mark and
Narain would finish the day with the third and fourth fastest times.
The team worked on tyre selections for the next race in Monaco while Mark
focused on setup work, while Karthikeyan did tests of cooling options for oil and water
followed by testing of brake materials.
The final day of testing will be tomorrow where Mark and Narain will conduct
the driving duties.
WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented on the days testing by
saying:
“Narain started the day with back to back cooling options for oil and water
before comparing different brake materials in the afternoon. Mark continued
the work started yesterday on the set-up options for Monaco, including aero
changes to affect the balance of the car. This was followed by the
conclusion of tyre compound tests which will assist with the final choice
for the race. We will have the track to ourselves tomorrow and conclude this
test with Mark and Narain.” |
