After the disappointment of the Spanish Grand Prix the WilliamsF1 team was back at work at the Vallelunga circuit working on evaluating setups for the next round of the championship at Monaco. Present at the test was Alex Wurz and Narain Karthikeyan.

The team worked through various setups as well tyre evaluations for this unique race. The team also had new suspension components to test, as well as new exhaust parts. The track had been shortened to simulate the Monaco circuit.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented on the days testing by saying: “Narain and Alex were on duty for the team today and responsible for testing Monaco-specific aero and mechanical modifications. This morning, we worked on set-up changes and evaluated some revised suspension components on Alex’s car before moving onto tyre compound tests in the afternoon. Narain completed some engine mapping work with some new exhaust parts, he then carried out start comparisons work before covering off traction control work. Tomorrow, Alex will be joined by Mark Webber.”
