February 23 2006
It would be a difficult day for WilliamsF1 at the Circuit de Catalunya at Barcelona, with Mark only eleventh and Nico not setting a time. Nico would suffer from technical problems with his FW28 that would see him not complete a timed lap. Mark would focus on longer runs.

The WilliamsF1 team would continue testing at the Circuit de Catalunya with
Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg again sharing the driving duties.
But the day would be less than successful with
Mark only the eleventh quickest driver while Nico would not seta time when
his car was to suffer further technical problems, with his gearbox,
early inn the session.
Mark would
complete eighty eight laps with his focus was on completing several long
runs for tyre supplier Bridgestone., explaining his slow times.
WilliamsF1 Technical Director
Sam Michael commented on the days test:
“It was a slow start for all the teams this morning due to a cold and green
track surface after yesterday's rain. Mark spent the whole day doing long
runs on different tyre casings to look at improving degradation. We made
good progress and will continue with this in the short term. Unfortunately,
Nico didn't manage to record any timed laps today due to gearbox problems.
Both Mark and Nico will be driving again tomorrow.” |
