The second day of testing at the Valencia circuit would see wet conditions in the morning but it would clear up later in the day to be dry.

WebberTeam test driver Alex Wurz replaced Nico Rosberg for the day with Alex using the FW27C. He would complete eighty two with a best time of 1m:12.925. Alex would finish about a tenth ahead of team-mate Mark Webber. Mark, who was again in the FW28, would finish with a time of 1m:13.050, completing sixty eight laps. Despite both drivers been able to get through a large number of laps they would have technical problems during the course of the day.

Alex would bring out the red flag when he was forced to stop out on the track with a fail on his car. Mark would also have problems with the FW28's gearbox.

WilliamsF1 Technical Director Sam Michael commented on the days testing:
“This morning's running was wet and although Mark managed to put more mileage on the FW28 we had to stop mid afternoon with a known gearbox problem. Alex was undertaking some tyre testing for Bridgestone in the FW27C and also stopped mid afternoon with a fuel pump failure. Tomorrow, Nico will drive the FW28 and Alex will continue his programme in the FW27C."
