Hungarian GP Saturday 3rd Practice

In a session that would see little activity in the first half the BMW WilliamsF1 team drivers would finish in seventh and ninth with Nick Heidfeld again ahead of team-mate Mark Webber.

HeidfeldWith Toyota's Ricardo Zonta fastest in Friday practice for the 2005 Hungarian
Grand Prix. Of the regular drivers fastest was McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen. With the start of the opening Saturday practice session the Minardi's of Doornbos and Albers would take to the track for their installation lap.

They would be joined by the Jordan's of Monteiro Karthikeyan. Both the McLaren's of Montoya and Raikkonen would also come out for their installation lap. With fifteen minutes of the session run no driver had set a time. This was a very slow start to the session. Michael Schumacher's first lap would see him go fastest with a 1m:23.330. Brother Ralf was now second with a 1m:23.512. Karthikeyan was in tenth.

WebberMichael would improve his time with a 1m:23.142. Sato was fifth and Villeneuve sixth. Massa would take this spot from his team-mate. Doornbos was slowest with a 1m:27.935. Trulli would come out for his installation lap with just over ten minutes left in the session. Massa was now in fifth and Sato sixth. Neither Red Bull car had taken to the track. Doornbos would improve his time and was now in ninth with a 1m:26.349. Villeneuve was now in fifth.

Nick's first lap would see him in seventh with a time of 1m:24.354, pushing Klein down one spot. Alonso was now in second with a 1m:23.087. The McLaren of Montoya was now fastest with a time of 1m:22.870 but Juan Pablo was quickly beaten by team-mate Raikkonen with a time of 1m:22.253. Alonso was now in third, with Michael and Ralf fourth and fifth. Button was down in thirteenth with Mark in fourteenth. At the front Montoya was again fastest with a 1m:21.980.
