European Touring
Car Champion Andy Priaulx will become a part of the BMW WilliamsF1 team
after he was invited to test further with the team, commencing late in
April.
Priaulx had
previously been given the opportunity of getting behind the wheel of a BMW
WilliamsF1 as part of him winning the European Touring Car Championship.
Such was the impression that Andy made the team had decided to ask him back.
Priaulx will
make his next appearance for the team at the BMW Power Festival at
Rockingham in May and will likely be used when regular test drivers Antonio
Pizzonia and Nico Rosberg are not available.
Priaulx said in response to the announcement: "I'm really pleased that my
relationship with BMW-Williams is developing and I hope that my
single-seater experience, combined with my working methods, will make a
positive contribution to the team's testing programme." |
