The BMW WilliamsF1 team would compete their second day of testing at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valencia Ricardo Tormo, with Mark Webber setting the fastest time of the day.

WebberWith the much publicised comments regarding the problems with the FW27 the team continued to work on the development of the car in their final opportunity prior to the Australian Grand Prix.

With strong winds affecting the track Mark would complete a full Grand Prix weekend simulation, including a race distance run, completing a massive 154 laps. His best lap time was a 1m:10.087. Nick Heidfeld will take over the driving duties tomorrow.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton said: "Mark was back in the car today carrying out systems checks in preparation for Melbourne. He completed over 600kms but it really was too windy to do much work this afternoon. Next time Mark drives the car will be in Australia for the first race of the season. Nick will be driving for the final two days of the test.”
