Even though he has yet to return to a Formula One car due to his injuries BMW WilliamsF1 driver Ralf Schumacher will still play a role at this weekends German Grand Prix.

Dr TheissenFor BMW Motorsport Director Dr Mario Theissen is happy with the fact that Ralf is making an appearance . On the BMW WilliamsF1 web site Theissen said: "He is still a part of the BMW WilliamsF1 Team. We are happy that he’ll be lending us his moral support at the weekend."

But only will Ralf be lending his support to the team but he will also be there to assist replacement driver Antonio Pizzonia.

Theissen added: “We need Ralf. He has contributed more in the last few years to the development of the car than is often appreciated by outsiders.

At the last race he was really missed, especially when it came to the complicated and very fine tuning of the car.”

As for when Ralf will be coming back this will be decided by Ralf and his doctors. Theissen said: "As soon as he is allowed to do by from the doctors, Ralf will be back in the car."
