New car for Silverstone

It has been previously reported that WilliamsF1 is in the process of developing a 'B' specification of their FW24 chassis.

It has also been rumoured that this new chassis will be ready to run in time for the British Grand Prix. But of even more interest is the rumour that the new WilliamsF1 car will carry a new Hewlett-Packard livery. This will replace the existing Compaq livery, as the merger of the Hewlett Packard and Compaq companies has been completed and as a result the Compaq name will disappear.

No-one at the team will comment on the subject of the new car, although Frank Williams has said: “You’re jumping the gun to talk about us making a ‘B-spec’ car, but it has been discussed.”
